We are experienced educationalists in mathematics and in equalities who work together with designers and programmers to prepare teaching and learning materials for print, for inset and for the web. We provide management consultancy in mathematics education and can deliver a range of inset opportunities. We aim to provide low cost/high quality solutions to projects developing engaging, thoughtful education content.
Chris Olley • MA, BSc, PGCE
Chris has taught maths in schools to head of department level and ITT in London and East Africa. Chris has extensive experience of developing materials for the web and print, including co-authoring a full 4 volume course for secondary mathematics in Uganda. Latterly he has developed materials for a range of web sites and worked extensively with the full range of dynamic software.
Val Johnson • MA, BEd, RSA Diploma
Val has taught in schools in Scotland and England and has worked in teacher education in the UK, Tanzania and Uganda. She is a specialist in the area of equalities (minority ethnic education) having worked extensively as an LEA advisor and EMAS team leader in London. Recently Val has established action research by teachers in collaboration with King's College, London and set up an induction programme for new arrivals, awarded Beacon status by the Home Office.
Gwyn Jones • MSc, BA(Oxon), PGCE
Gwyn started teaching in London and after a time at The Alun School as their 6th form mathematics coordinator he became head of mathematics at Ysgol Morgan Llwyd, a Welsh medium comprehensive. He is now a mathematics consultant delivering INSET and writing classroom materials both in English and in Welsh.
Sían Coe • BSc (Econ)
Sían has extensive experience in business administration coming from a languages background. She manages the general operations of Education Interactive. Sían is the Education Interactive manager for the SHINE/NRich gifted and talented mathematics programme for Tower Hamlets schools.
