The aim of the game is to correctly answer 3 questions in each of the six coloured question categories.
This is a fantastic board game, with a difference!
Using the quiz on the CD Rom which comes with the game, players compete to reach the central space. The questions you are asked will help you to learn more about and test your knowledge of calculating interest charged by the bank when you borrow money or that is paid to you when you save. Players will have to work out repayment amounts on loans and learn to budget.
A great way of learning about saving and borrowing, in an exciting board game.
Percentages: When you save money in a bank, they give you a percentage Interest. But when you borrow money, you have to pay a percentage Interest. So, to calculate how much you gain by saving and how much borrowing actually costs you, you need to understand percentages.
Saving: You normally save a certain amount every month. But you will plan to save for a number of years. You need to be good with your 12 times table.
Borrowing: When you borrow money it is important to know how much the repayments are going to be. Repayments are usually monthly.
Credit: If you buy something with cash straight away it will be cheaper than borrowing the money and paying it back.
Gains: When you save up over time you will have a nice amount to spend. This will be made greater by the interest you will earn.
Rates: When you borrow, you are charged interest. This is the major cost of borrowing. The longer you borrow money for, the more you pay. The interest rates on credit cards are usually very high.
