24-Game Card Sets
The 24-Game is a card game using puzzle cards. It is available as either 48 cards in a pack or 96 cards in a sturdy box. The cards are large (approx 12cm square) and very high quality.
The game is very easy to start as there is always only one rule: use all 4 numbers with any operation (add, subtract, multiply, divide) to make 24. There are a wide range of sets to cater for increasing levels of difficulty:
- Single digits then double digits
- One of the numbers is a fraction or a decimal
- Some or all of the numbers are negative
- One of the numbers is shown as an algebraic expression!
The game can be played in many different ways, but conventionally the cards are placed face up on the table. All players compete for the top card. The first to solve the card claims it and play moves on to the next card. However, the game can be played collaboratively as well. As players’ experience increases they get quicker and better at sorting the numbers and finding combinations of them which can build up to 24. The game does much more than practice the ‘four rules’. Instead it emphasises the all important thinking time, when players quickly test the options, developing key problem solving skills.
Cards have three levels of difficulty:
1 Dot = easy
2 Dot = medium
3 Dot = tough
24-Game Single Digits
Object of the game: Make the number 24 from the four numbers on a game card.
You can add, subtract, multiply and divide. Use all four numbers on the card, but use each number only once.
There is at least one solution to every card.
Example:
7 - 1 = 6, 2 + 2 = 4, 6 x 4 = 24

24-Game Double Digits
This is an easy card, called a ‘1 Dot’, because it has one white dot in the corner. Cards of medium difficulty have two red dots in the corner, and tough cards have three yellow dots..
See if you can solve this problem. Don't forget that you have to use all four numbers, but use each number only once.

24-Game Variables - 96 cards
To play the Variable 24 game you need to find a "variable number" (Any whole number from 1 to 9) which, when used with three numbers on one wheel makes 24, and also makes 24 with the three numbers on the other wheel. For added challenges, you can place two cards together (four wheels).

Object of the game is to make a positive number 24. You can add, subtract, multiply and divide. Use all four numbers on the card, but use each number only once. For added challenge, solve for negative 24. All cards can make both 24 and -24.

This deck contains 48 Algebra and 48 Exponent cards.
Cards offer three levels of difficulty. Easy, 1 Dot cards are easy, 2 Dot cards are medium and 3 Dot cards are tough.
This is a great set for advanced classes.

Factors "wheels" are made by placing four cards together to creat a wheel of numbers that share a common factor.
How to Play: Players work together to create wheels of numbers that share a common factor. Can be used as an individual or group activity. Cards have a self-check feature (answer on back) to allow students to practice or review multiplication facts without supervision.
